Day In The Life: Portfolio Director

What is your position at Zennify and what do you do?

Portfolio Director. I support all the projects in my territory to ensure they have the resources they need to deliver awesome results.

How long have you been working with Zennify?

A little over one year.

What does your average day look like?

A lot of meetings. I don’t get my hands into Salesforce configuration as much as I have in the past (or as much as I would like), but I do get to identify opportunities for others to hone those skills – which is also cool. I have split responsibilities between supporting projects and supporting Zennfiy’s internal teams. On both fronts I get to help folks. On the project front I get to see our teams help customers solve business challenges. On the Zennify front I get to help find opportunities to continue to develop our team members. It’s a fun and challenging role.

What motivates you at work?

I really enjoy project based work with a clear deliverable and plan of attack. That’s inherent in our jobs as consultants. I also really enjoy the exposure we get to so many different industries. It’s very interesting to how varied different business processes can be. It’s great to work with a highly knowledgeable and highly skilled team that takes pride in its work – that helps keep everyone engaged.

What is your favorite work perk?

The flexibility to work from home. Sometimes working aways from the office can be incredibly productive. Also- life happens, so it’s nice to be able to work remotely when needed.

What is your favorite part of your role?

Two favorite parts – working with customers to understand their challenges, and working with Zennify teams to deliver awesome solutions that help solve customer problems.

What do you enjoy most about working for Zennify?

Great team and great support overall. There is a genuine focus on supporting team members and making sure we are all developing personally and professionally.

What’s one piece of advice you would give someone considering a career in your role?

It’s important to remain flexible – every situation is a little different and probably requires a unique perspective and approach. That is a really challenging thing to do, but an immensely valuable skill.
