What is your position at Zennify?

I’m a Software Developer / Project Technical Lead – I code and make decisions on which technologies and standards to use in order to best reach out project goals

How long have you been working with Zennify?

8 months!

What does your average day look like?

We start every day off with a 30 min. – 1 hr long meeting with all the developers, project managers, and various client personal to go over current task assignments, progress, and outstanding issues. The rest of the day is usually a mix of working on tasks from our task board, reviewing code, white boarding, and going on walks with coworkers.

What motivates you at work?

Feeling accomplished after completing a difficult task, coming up with creative solutions with teammates, and completing a project knowing we all came through and supported each other as a team and as a department.

What is your favorite work perk?

There are a lot of really nice perks that come with working at Zennify. If I had to chose one I would say unlimited PTO.

What is your favorite part of your role?

Being a Tech Lead, which is a new role for me, has been a huge learning expiernce and at times can be very daunting. I like that all of our team can bring different strengths and skills to the table so that we can have thoughtful conversations about problems we need to solve.

What do you enjoy most about working for Zennify?

The people I get to work with everyday. We have an amazing management that supports and listens to us, and a great team that consists of people who are knowledgeable, dependable, curious, supportive, and fun. It’s just generally enjoyable to walk into the office and be able to have captivating and fun conversations with anyone no matter what role they are in.

What’s one piece of advice you would give someone considering a career in your role?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, fail, go outside your comfort zone, and then do it all over again.
