About OneUnited Bank

OneUnited Bank was established in 1968 by combining Black-owned banks across the country, creating an institution to garner spending power and channel it back into the communities they serve. They are the first Black internet bank and the largest Black-owned bank in the country, with offices in Los Angeles, Boston, and Miami.

Challenge

OneUnited Bank has been serving its customers for over 50 years. Their investment in the client experience includes digital transformation efforts across the organization and modernizing their systems for the current digital age.

However, their extensive Salesforce customization was making it difficult to keep their systems updated at scale. They also wanted to provide their customers with quality home loans using the flexibility of Rocket Mortgage and were one of the first banks to take advantage of the Salesforce + Rocket Mortgage partnership, but needed help optimizing their marketing and financial services platforms to support this new offering.

OneUnited Bank decided to transition to Financial Services Cloud (FSC) to future-proof their Salesforce platform and chose Zennify as their partner because of its reputation of delivering flawless FSC projects.

Zennify built an FSC foundation for their Mortgage line of business to support the Rocket Mortgage partnership. They also configured a Lightning App for Mortgage and streamlined their marketing capabilities with Marketing Cloud, updating all journeys and processes to sync with FSC. Additionally, they ensured that OneUnited Bank’s Deposit Account Opening (DAO) was available 24/7 during the transition with flawless testing and deployment.
